Who doesn’t love driving through a neighborhood and looking at all the beautiful houses? Old houses, new houses – all can look equally lovely with a little tender loving care.

Here are a few ways you can increase the curb appeal of your home and make it a welcoming beacon for friends and family:House made of tools over white background

  • Replace or repaint the door. Your door is the focal point of the front side of your home. If it is weathered, it is time to replace it or give it new life with a fresh coat of paint.
  • Replace old hardware. If your lockset and house numbers are worn, polish them with metal polish or replace them.
  • Wash the exterior. Moss, grime and mildew can mask how lovely your home really is. Be sure to take care in washing the exterior of your home (including the windows).
  • Plant some flowers. Colorful flowers can enhance the front landscape of your home.
  • Fix rotting wood. Often the trim around our porches, windows and garage entrance can take the most weather damage and begin to rot. Replace and repaint for a revitalized look.
